No prob sizz, but if you want to buy a better one thats up to you..I'm just using a audiopipe holder to mine w/ a 140a fuse and its fine. My amp is only rated to 120a iirc..

Dont know if you answered this allready but are you running 1 or 2 amps? From what i read only 1..If you plan on getting another amp for the insides get a distroblock that is 0/1-2ga in and 2 2ga or 4ga out..Most amps will only beable to fit 4ga in them..Unless you have a huge amp..I know my mtx 1501d (1500rms), kicker 800.2(900rms), ap2400d(1500rms) all had 4ga power inputs.

Yeah I'm only gonna be running 1 amp. Ill show you what I mean with the distro block...at least I think its a distro block.

So yeah i mean...I'm clueless as to if I will even need this, or if this is even a distro block.

thats not a 1000 watt amp. only that would ever see 1k is if it was on 50volts, then it would only do it for about 2 sec.

you will never need 2g for that, unless your going to upgrade the amp just keep the wire you have,

hell you'd be fine w/8ga on that amp..But i'd run bigger if you plan on upgrading.

And yea thats a distroblock..You'd be fine running that by your battery if ya aint got nuthin else.Just make sure water and stuff cant get to it..

with that amp 8ga wire will be plenty big use a 35a fuse within 18 inches of your battery..since the amp is already fused ...you won't need a fuse close to it....

you may be lucky to see 200 watts from it bridged at 4

200 is the most you will ever see, unless of course you clip th s.hit out of it which will damage you subs

Im lookin to wire up some 2g wire to my 1000 watt amp...I have my old fuse holder from my 10g wiring setup. will that work? and do i even need one?
