If you believe your install of the big 3 will have no flaws ever. Then by all means don't put a fuse. But if you think even a little, there could be an accident somehow, somewere, then put a fuse. It's cheap insurance.

yes i do drive a king ranch had mobeious build a box to fit inplace of the rear console for my subs did a gret job btw

so as long as i dont mess up with my wiring on the big 3 then it shouldnt be a problem right

Yes, fuse it. I could have lost my car over it after I had my HO alt put in. The guy who put it in ran my power wire across the serpentine belt for some reason. about a day or so later my car decides to shut down

I have upgraded the power wire from the alt to the battery in 3 cars and never fused that wire.

However, I will never do something that stupid again, anything could have happen.

Like it was mention above its cheap insurance for the system as well as the car. Fuse it.

Shouldnt be more than 20 or so bucks. Just make sure you get a water resistant fuse holder for under the hood.
