go TTTMight already be answered jcob sorry I didn't look but what's the difference with this and the sa8
Haha -- well think about it this way...holy ish lol
but still...i mean two sa 8s is cheaper then thatHaha -- well think about it this way...
The only thing close in any way is an 8W7 -- and it's only comparable in linear x-max and cone area.
The X-8 will handle more power, get louder, adds a shorting ring that the W7 doesn't have, and so forth... and the W7 is 50% more expensive at MAP.
And JL cannot pull the "custom parts" deal as everything on the X-8 is fully custom as well.
Since everyone always asks about sheer mass... it will literally take TWO 8W7s to equal the mass of one X-8... it has alot of motor behind it.
so is that price of 300 gonna stay firm for some time?Sure is - and two SA-8s costs less to make than one X-8.
Yes it is - the price is based on materials cost only. I am not adding anything for the tooling charges involved; I'll simply make less money on the first few hundred units sold.so is that price of 300 gonna stay firm for some time?
At the moment only estimates exist as the parts are not done -- but I expect them to be around 34 lbs.So its the monster 8 of all 8's........weight and fs and bl ad xmax haha sorry for all the questions..I wouldn't mind seeing what it could do
Honestly... many "larger" names aren't all that interested in extreme 8s as far as I can tell... economically it probably wasn't the best size driver to debut the new frame platform in (would have been 12s)... BUT I run my own small company and this thing sure is cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So we decided to make it.we can't let Jacob here take all the spotlight, DD better step up their game. i expect to see a 9508 in the near future.
you forgot the JL clause though. the X-8 may actually be a better woofer... but the W7 is made by JL and is therefore better.Haha -- well think about it this way...
