It's over-sized -- SD is equal to an 8W7 -- without their special surround attachment our flange is wider, of course.

Now just one question... can this 8 incher work in small boxes or does it have to be in something large to make it work well? I was just thinking that if this sub needs a box as large as a box requirement for a 10" then it kinda cancels out the benefits of a small sub being able to fit anywhere.

That magnet is going to be HUGE.. but I wouldnt want a boot on that sexy motor! Plus it probably drives up the cost a little. Just my 2 cents though.
