There's no sense in worrying about it. Whatever happens is going to happen. I don't mean to sound like a jackass, but you did the crime, you'll have to pay the consequences.Originally posted by Gauntlet You'll find out all the answers in due time....
I had to do that when I was 17, only it was a mandatory 8 hour class I had to attend.Originally posted by Aurorav8 Go to the judge that hears the cases and ask him how to get on the deferred program. You will have to go through a drivers training class, most likely at home, on your own time through a series of tapes.

Whether it's closed or not, the insurance companies can still find out it's on your record. As of just a couple years ago, insurance companies have access to that information instantly and for free now (they used to have to subscribe to a service and it would tkae months to actually show up on your record). About 4 years ago I got a ticket and never told my insurance company, and they never changed my rates. About 5 months ago I got a ticket at 7:30am on my way to work and my insurance agent knew by 7:45 and called me at work (it was a bad ticket).Originally posted by dbhittin heres a trick so your insurance wont find out or go up. Tell the judge that u were stupid, just being a normal teenager(if u are), and she might drop it a bit, but then ask for $30 days to pay it, they will send u a check, send them the total plus $3 extra dollars, then they will send a check back for $3, and just rip it up and throw it away. Then, they cant close the case, cause u didn't cash the check.
