These flush mount rings are made of two 3/4" rings. You are correct... the total depth is 1.5".

Also have some extra 1/4" and 1/2" I can make a few rings out of.

why not cut flushmount rings with a rabbited edge out of 1 layer of 3/4" a 3/4" depth (of the lip) is non-existent in a car audio speaker

3/4 inch lip works great if you have grills to put over ur speakers. that would be good for the depth of the lip.
