Just gearing up to purchase my front stage speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have a 2003 F150.

I will be mounting the 6.5" driver in the door, and the 4" and tweet in kicks or top of the door. Will this screw up the sound of the 3-way? (In comparison to a 2-way system in the door)

I don't want to focus so much on imaging.. I just want the sound.. :up2someth

I have FINALLY decided on speakers. I will be going with CDT.. either the HD series or the Eurosports. If anyone can give some head-head info or experience with either please share!

Do I need to build enclosures for these, or can I just slap them in the doors? I want this install to be least intrusive as possible.

The CDT's are rated at about 150W RMS.. is that 75W RMS for the left speakers and 75W for the right speakers, or 150W apiece?

If its 150W, then the speakers will be mated to a JL Audio 300/2 or Phoenix Gold 300.2

THANKS,

Well, I just purchased EuroSports myself, got a real nice deal on the 6.5" two-way Components. I am putting them in kickpanels today or tomorrow. I had CDT CL-61's before so I can compare them for you, but the crossovers in the EuroSports are supposed to be amazing compared to the lower models, and the tweeter is better in the EuroSports as well. I guess it comes down to $$, as the Euros are $200 more.

The speakers are rated at 150 watts RMS a piece. They are pretty beefy speakers. I am going to power them with a US Acoustics 2100, 100watts x 2.

Yes, time to move some stuff for sure. Have a little mini CA warehouse in the garage!

Sounds like your front stage is overpowering your sub stage/ Weak sub stage. Is this a 4dr. Sedan or a Hatchback WRX? Where do you have the sub...

May be a weak link. Hifonics has been pretty dubious for going on 30 years now.
