Setup: JBL MS-8, 4 channel amp, Mono Amp

4 Channel Amp: JBL MS-A1004 100 Watt x 4-Channel Amplifier

Front Speakers: 6.5 Components

Rear Speakers: 6.5s

I turned my car on this morning, no sound coming from front speakers so I did some messing around and testing.

1. My rear speakers work on channel 1&2, and channel 3&4

2. My front speakers do not work on channel 1&2 and do not work on channel 3&4

3. This leads to to say the amp is fine, the speakers are the problem.

4. I flipped the RCAs around and this didn't make a difference so RCAs should be okay?

How could both speakers just magically go out? Yes I checked the faders and all. The speakers do not sound crackly, just ZERO sound.

What should I look into next? Im not the smartest tool in the shed. Thanks for any help!!!

****IF this matters, the way it was installed was with a factory HU on a 2015 honda fit. They used the Ms-8 wire harness, ran to the ms-8. RCA cables from the ms-8 to the amps.

pinched wire somewhere.Maybe bad crossover for one of the component set and its shorting out the amp. test each speaker individually on any channel of the amp.narrow down the problem more.

Is it possible that if one of my front speakers goes out, the other will stop working?

What i do no, is that all 4 rcas can reproduce sound as can all 4 channels which is shown by my rear speakers working in all 4 channels. The ms8 is giving the amp sound into all 4 channels it seems so the ms8 shouldnt be the problem? Correct?

Get a dmm and check the ohm load on the speakers and get a AA battery and do the Speaker test that will tell u it's the speakers or u get the dmm and check the speaker ohm load from the wires going to ur amps

Update: when i was driving to work tonight, everytime i hit a bump my speakers would crackle/make noises as if they were trying to play.

Not sure if that makes a difference.

or maybe a break someone in the wire, i'd get some new wire and rewire the speakers with new speaker wire or like was said earlier it maybe the crossovers too
