that HU install looks like shit. i hate those kits that make them stick out like that. my friends firebird looked like that when he installed his aftermarket HU. i HATE them.

not to bash, but.....

1. ground up front is no good.

2. cut the wires shorter in back, would clean it up and make it look a lot better

3. box should have a lot more port area

4. another amp

5. loose the cap

the ports definitely look too small/skinny...there's no way you're not getting any port noise with that.

port noise? As in...an unwanted sound? ...im glad im not getting noise...but ...loud bass does come out of the ports....if thats what you meant by "noise."

I wish I had a video camera....my rear view mirror fell off yesterday while i was playing Hypnotize by Young jeezy at 44/60 volume..no boosts, and gain set at 1/4th (for breaking in subs)...and its still pretty insane....

1. You mean the cap ground in 1/0 wire? Why is it no good?

2. All the wires are invisible when the back seat is up, they are all in a slot behind the seat, that pic is taken with the seats folded down.

3. Well..I didnt build the box...and I dont know so much about port area so maybe you are right...but it definetly gets ridicously loud with the area it does have...heh.

4. Why another amp? Im getting about 879 watts per sub with this at 2 ohms. Most other amps I find will give me more, yah, but without paying tons it will be at 1 ohm (which, as I understand is less eletrically efficent?). And I dont want to go over the rms of the subs (even if people say they are over rated) cuz these are my "bang the hell outa me daily subs" and I can crank em at this many watts all day long without having to worry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and, with this many watts at 2 ohms...I dont even get headlight dimming. My volts stay pretty stable.

Ditch the cap and upgrade the Big3.And definitly shorten those wires in the back to clean it up alittle.

horrible install.... ditch the cap, go to a shop where somebody actually knows how to install a HU.

I like caps because it smooths out the tone wich has a cleaner bass in my opinion

keep the cap but also upgrade big three and other things becaus the cap whont help much with dimming

caps will smooth out/filter ripples/spikes in voltage, they do nothing for your sound, unless of course they're being used in xovers - which your's isn't.
