Bass Boost and Crossover on my amp...

Hey,

Now that I have set my gain using a DMM I was wondering about the two other little knobs :p

I know what they do but I was wondering what the general concensus is about them. Right now my Xover is at 200Hz and the bass boost is at 0. I hear bass boost isn't really good and when used too much it just distorts the base and in the end causes clipping, as for the Xover I think 200 is good because I want the sub to pick up the bass lines in songs that arnt really really low.

That do you guys think about them?

Ignore bass boost; pretend it is broken.

As for the crossover, I prefer letting my front stage play down to around 70hz and usually set my sub's crossovers around 60-70hz. I find that the bass is way too localized if I set it much higher. I have used 80hz a lot in the past and that usually works well as far as localization. I wouldn't be able to handle a 200hz crossover for my subs though.

What's your front stage?

Front stage I have a 2x Pioneer 6.5s (120W max 35 rms) and some Pioneer 6x9s (250WMax and umm 40 RMS i think) Running off the HU, no amp.
