For those of you with just 1 sub...

My friend has that exact same setup in his trunk and loves it. He runs the amp at 1ohm daily and it pounds nicely and didnt meter bad either 146.75 on the termlab.

Sounds great guys. Thanks for all your input. although, Instead of the Kicker L7 and 750.1 amp, would you guys recommend something else?

I used to be hell bent on having dual subs, but after getting the right sub and the right enclosure, I realized that happiness can come from one sub. I have had single sub setups for the past couple of years, and I will definitely not go back to multiple sub setups anytime soon.

IMHO, it's all about building the right enclosure for your sub. 1 sub can hit just as hard as two subs in the same power range combined.

Do you feel it puts out enough power? or Do you wish you went with 2 subs instead of 1? I'm trying to decide weather or not to get 2 subs or just 1. Im thinking about getting a Kicker L7 along with a Kicker 750.1 amp. Whats everyones opinion on this setup?
depends on what your driving, i have a 2 door accord with a ported W6 in the back. gets pretty **** loud and sounds **** good while doing it. once i get the money however i do wanna upgrade to a W7. its really all just personal pref

if your liking kicker, i'd say cvx instead of l7... it's a little better for sq...
So is the CVX better all around?Loudness, SQ? or is the L7 the louder Sub?

Also, What should I look for in an Enclosure. From what Ive been reading, I should go with a ported, Correct? Also If theres enough room in my trunk, will I be better off going with a 15 Inch instead of 12?

it all depends on how much space the sound has to fill..if your in say an astro van i would say run multiple subs but in a average car one is plenty if you have a quality setup..my 15" sx gets loud enough that most ppl wont let me turn it up

a 15" will get louder some, and i've had l7's and cvx's and they're rated the same rms, side by side i'd take the cvx, hands down, but thats just me and how i like it... the cvx's are a bit more acurate, imo...

i run a single cvx and am happy with it, some people say it sounds like 2 12" and then i have to show them it's only one but idk... maybe they're just trying to rob me, lol. imo a 750.1 and a l7 will be pretty loud, but you could get a hell of a lot louder...
Same here, I have a 10" CVX in 1.8 cubes ported. I would go with a bigger amp, at least 1000w.

I've got a single Alpine Type X 10 in my single cab S10, seeing about 1100 watts. It's in a 1 ft.^3 (gross) sealed box, and sounds awesome. Lots of output for just one sub. Had the same sub in a downfired box I built in a 2005 F150 Supercrew, and it sounded great in there as well... All depends on how you set it up and what you're going for I guess. It's nice to have people ask how many 12" subs you have though, and get to tell them it's a single 10! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
