Fixing sub surround

my 1st post in awhile.. couldn't get my old login info back tho :/

anyway..I have a jl 10w1 that I'm trying to fix. the foam surround has been ripped in several places. it is broken off the exterior surround of the speaker and also ripped in a few places. it is still connected to the cone. Is there some proven method to fixing a problem like this? should I just use some super glue? thanks

from my 2 min diagram.. you might be able to see that the rips in the foam has created a few flaps, which are connected to the cone, but not to the exterior surround.

if you don't think fixing this is an option, I will take suggestions on something else to buy.. I've had this sub for 4 years and it worked great until it had heavy shit put on top and ripped it..

the sealed box i have to work with is about .73 cu ft and made for a 10". it will get ~240 wats from a bridged 80x2 us acoustics amp. I need something inexpensive, used is a plus, definitely under $100. would like a mix of sq and spl, but more sq.

I'm sure you could get an elemental design k series for under 100. Or a shiva possibly,
Shiva is 12".

If you're happy with JL, look at a used 10W0, an elemental K, as stated, is another viable option. You could also hold out a little while and pick yourself up a Kx series woofer from Elemental Designs. Kicker Comp VR is another decent sub that can be found for cheap.
