I have an 06 Malibu and Im in progress of getting my first system. My question is: would a kenwood kdc x496, rockford fosgate p2 2x12, and a RF t500-1bdcp amp be a good build?

Sounds good to me, unless you are looking to move some air. Also should say that their are alot better alternatives to the Rockford sub though. Whats your budget?

i think you could go with Sundown amp and subs and be better off for the same money.

No that is not a good build. Let us know your alt size and age of battery up front. Also how much space you have for the subs because the box makes the subs.

You can definitely do a he11 of a lot better with that much dough. I'd get a nice used deck, there's some killer ones on the classifieds here for around 100. There's plenty of good power wire for sale cheap here, too, although some knuconcepts or audiotechnix cca 1/0 would be fine and isn't expensive at all. Get enough to do your big three, and a lil extra just in case. Get some ring terminals off ebay. Rca's are everywhere for under 20 bucks. That gets your h/u and wiring out of the way for less than $250. 750 for subs, and amp will get you something pretty decent here, too.

I kind of already got all the equipment for this setup. I've got all professional wiring and I'm getting it all hooked up by a pro. I also had to get a special malibu kit for the information system. So basically I'm asking if I'll be disappointed. Any further feedback or tips would be awesome. All brand new everything.

you won't be disappointed til someone with a pair of obsidian 12's and audiopipe ASPM 1300 blows u doors off...and to know they spent only $400
