i have like 340$ now, and i was planning on waiting on the amp unless i buy one of the cheaper 2... then i need to know how to tell what amp matches the speakers.. like can some one make a list of what needs to match up, and how to tell

i have friends that know alot about speakers, and i know how to hook them up, but i cant really tell what goes with what.. thanks

edit- how do i tell which is louder ? guessing the dba, but does the peak wattagge make one louder than the other??

i really just need a nobbie guide

im getting a car soon, so its most likely gonna be a lancer, civic, eclipse ect (something like that if i have to save up for it) so would it be better for just one 12 or what?

The final impedance of the speakers needs to match up with the lowest stable impedance of your amplifier. Most likely, it'll be between 1 and 4 ohms.

but does the peak wattagge make one louder than the other??

Ignore the peak wattage. Treat it like it's not even there.

Get one Type R 12, put it in the right ported box and you'll love it. Stay away from the Audiobahns, but the E's are decent and so are the kickers for beginners setups. Or you could get two RE RE 10's.

The Type E's do sound good , but if want better for a little more go with the Type R's. what amp do i need to push these?

i can get boxes easy.. so i dont need them from here.. anyone want to show me a decent amp (know this is the wrong forum now but..)

i can get them at a local store, maybe cheaper... im just trying to get an idea of what i need to get...

May be way over-priced, but you will not find ANYONE with equal service.

You all dog on Audiobahn like they ****. They don't when they are put in an enclosure designed for them and when they are given the proper power. I have had mine in my truck for almost 2 months now and with no problems. Sounds better than all the systems around here and they get loud quick.

People can rag on them all they want. When they go out though I will definately go with something that is better than these 1206Ts but for now they are what I want in the way of a sub.

$90 for a pair of those Kickers seems pretty reasonable to me.
