First system, i have no idea what i should get with my dub 10's

This MB Quarts amp listed previously by WheresMyButta is very ideal: MB Quart ONX1.1000D - ONYX Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier/Amp

It does 1000w at 1ohm for when you upgrade. but for now, it does 750w at 2ohm just like you need. It's a little more power than you need, but I'd be surprised if the woofers couldn't take it with a PROPERLY set gain with a DMM. Always make sure that step is done if you want your gear to last.

Yes, that wiring kit will be perfect. It's not the best quality, but it is entirely sufficient for what you need.

And no, you will never need a capacitor, nor does **** near anyone.... and here's why: :: NANOPULSER.COM.SG ::

a capacitor is not a substitute for having a proper electrical system.

"the big 3" is the foundation of any good car audio electrical system, then get a nice strong AGM battery under the hood

a high-output alternator is a good investment if you plan to go bigger than a 1kw system.

You'll have to set the gains conservatively since it's more power than you currently need, but it will give you plenty of room to upgrade in the future.

How do I properly set the gains? Is it safe to "play" around with the levels to figure out what sounds best?

and what do you mean by DMM

Also with this amp, am i most likely going to have to buy a more powerful battery to handle all this stuff?

No, you'll be fine with what you're planning to do. I run around 1600w on my OEM battery and weak factory alternator.

A DMM is a digital multi meter. Here is a how to article for it: How to Set Amp Gain With a Multimeter | eHow.com

So for the math portion, it's the square root of (wattage TIMES resistance). your wattage is 750 at 2 ohms resistance. so 750x2 is 1500, and the sqrt of 1500 is 38.73

So as you follow the directions on the page, with the DMM that you either purchased or borrow from a neighbor, you're going to want your AC Voltage to read 38.73 as you tweak your gain to the proper position.

Same ratings both made by rf whats the difference
Compare the p1 12 svc 4 to the r1 12 svc 4......Everything is different

p1 has a smaller but longer voice coil, more xmax, larger and heavier cone, lighter suspension (different soft parts), stronger motor force.

Read the tsp data before spouting incorrect information.

Thank you everyone for the info, I think i've about got things figured out. Mono, no capacitor, set gains n all.

The friend i'm installing this with has an electrician for a neighbor, so im sure he can help us figure out the correct levels n stuff.

Thanks all.
