I put a bass-tube in my Saturn SL2. I hooked it up directly to my rear speaker outputs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif No amp, just running it off of the factory deck and i'll bet it was bridged and I assume at a really weird resistance.

I was 15 with a permit and ready to bass drive-by //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

My first system was in 89/90. It consisted of a pair of kicker comps (gold lettering) in an isobaric configuration, which were then in a slot ported box. Pretty loud, altho very odd of a setup now that I think of it. Ran that off of a coustic 360 amp if I recall correctly. Ghetto fabulous wiring included. Car of choice was a 1976 chevy nova with a 250 cu 6 sylinder. Talk about slow! Still, I wish I had kept that car, fun was but a 350 away! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1990 K5 Blazer; the ultimate redneck-mobile. had a 350, 4x4, lifted, mud tires, powder-coated grille guard and bumper; it was redneck!

when I bought it, it had two 12" MTX Blue Thunders off of some 200 watt jensen amp. i needed more DEEBEEZ so i bought a 2kW Legacy amp off of eBay and had a local shop install it + some 6x9"s in boxes behind my seats on the inside of the wheel wells.

We had a ton of problem with the drivetrain in that vehicle, so we sold it and got the truck in my sig. that's when I first got into audio, because I had to piece together my own system. Two 05' 10" Type R's off of a RF 500BD.

I now drive a 2006 crew cab z71 that I'm struggling the put two 8"s in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

94 buick skylark with pioneer IMPP subs amp i dont remember went through a lot. cought one on fire.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

First system me and buddy ever installed we used wire from house lamp. Hell I though like this if it can handle 120V it can handle 12 with no problem:) we ran it through his door jam. no butt connector just good ole electrical tape. box made outa ply wood. mis matching subs. I remember one time we put like 12 speakers on his amp and couldnt figer out my it keep shutting down .ahh the good old days.

lol propimp thats a good story //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif i enjoyed it

my first and still system is 2 12" kicker cvr and my car is a 99 pontiac grand am... im really looking to replace the subs but with college comin up not sure if i can //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

that how i learned about car audio. after you catch some amps on fire(car filling with smoke is NO FUN!) espeacilly when drivin, punch a few holes in speaker, ground out the power wire ALOT, dont take fuse out before hooking shit up or taking shit out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, have connections comeing untaped, power wire melting andweling to engine capartment (no fuse under hood )you kinda learn what works and what doesnt. but it was kinda a good learning tool but got expensive.

hehe...

I had 4 - 4" coax speakers, overhead in the headlines, two 6x9's in the bottom of the doors, and two JL 10W4's behind the seats in a single cab 1971 F250. The 4" ran off the kenwood deck. The 6x9's got somewhere in the 50-75W range from a kenwood amp and the JL's where running off a PG XS amp # 300 watts...

Imaging? What's Imaging.

The loudest song on it overall, was 3 little pigs by green jelly...

1974 school bus yellow volvo station wagon . Pair of cerwin vega 15" home towers in the back powered by a pyramid power booster/eq for each one. Bumping some "carwash" on the 8 track //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My first car a 1991 dodge shadow lol First sub was a 12 inch urban audio sub and a 50w amp bought at ames. And my first box you ask. th actual box the sub came in. i just cut the top flap off. Second setup was 2 mtx 10 inch thunder 4000's off a 600w jensen amp. The box for those were some old home speaker boxes I had. They were sealed and each box containted a mid bass and a tweeter. Ohh the good old days. I thought i had the best system around.
