First multiple battery install questions

i just finished installing a battery in the trunk of my car for the first time, a kinetik 1400, and because its my first install im paranoid about every little thing. right now im only running my highs amp, rf 450/4, and i was wondering if it was normal for the voltage to drop slightly (i cant give exact numbers because i only have a voltage gauge without readouts) at idle with only the highs running full tilt? it never dropped before so i was wondering.

I think it is normal for it to slightly drop until the car is started and running and i have been told by several people that the kinetik batteries do not need or use an isolator to keep the battery fully spiked but opinions and views vary. have you done the big 3 wiring up front and what guage do you have running to the 2nd battery?
