how do I wire door speakers?

Okay, so I'm gonna get new door speakers and an amp for them. My question is how do I run the speaker wire to the door speakers? Would it sound terrible if I ran speaker wire to the back of my HU and hook them up with the stock speaker wiring, then attach the crossover to the stock wire in the door and from the crossover to my midbass/tweets?

You wanna run a new wire from the speaker to your amp..dont try any other way.

you can do that as you mentioned to save time and wire of having to run it all the way to the door or even having to slide wire into the water resistent gasket that runs wires to your door. don't wire it directly to the HU, just wire it to the spearker wires onto the aftermarket harness(if your running an aftermarket HU), not the harnes for the HU. i did this to run my tweeters.

or as mentioned, you could run new speaker wire, which would be better due to size and power handling of the wire.

Yeah I would run much more then tweets off my puny factory wiring. Best way is just to fish it along through the door wire run and then down under the carpet.

it won't cause any trouble if I run speaker wire alongside rca cable, right?

just keep power wires away from rca's
