Final sub decision 4 g/f. Kicker,JL,RF

Ok. I was thinking about getting her a single 12" kicker L7 but then was wondering how about a Jl audio 13.5 or 12. Are these subs even comparable. By price he JL's are defnitly more expensive but is it worth the extra money. I was looking on ebay and noticed that there are ALOT of refurbished kicker L7 subs on there. Is that a sign of a bad sub and that they do mess up easy or just people overpower them of something.(i dont know) A rockford fosgate T1 12" is even a thought. we are in between these 3 now. Were looking at subs that can take 1100watts rms because thats the kind of amp she has(fosgate 1001bd)What do ya think?

yeah, she is into car stereos and stuff. She wants something smaller tho that takes up less space. She had 2 15" subs before. She listens to mainly rap and R&b.

And actually come to think of it we havent considered the type r. We are trying to use as little space as possable but still be able to get Loud

yeah whatever we go with its most likly gonna be sealed not ported. i was looking at the W7 and there almost as much as i got my eclipse Ti pro for unless im looking in the wrong places

I know a guy that gets crazy loud with anything. He had 2 12l7 sealed up with around 1.5kwatts. That shit was LOUD as shit. Sounded pretty decent while doing so as well.

oh, no i didn't. price isnt really a issue. But im trying to stya resonable ya know. I spent $500 for my eclipse ti pro and IF i went with the W7 im probably gonna be spending that much.

Thats cool I just wanted him to know that. L7 are picky about the box you put themn in thats why there is alot of refurbs. People just like to buy pre fab boxes and with L7 that is bad. I know I had a pre fab box at first and blew a couple. Does she want just bass? My gf complains about my L7s to much for her. Why the w7 and not the w6?

Refurbs are because of prefab ported boxes tuned too high. You will be okay with a custom box. I havent heard the new w6v2 but I have heard that they are about the same just the w6 is around $300. Some people have said that they prefer the sq of the w6 over the w7, again I dont know just what I have heard. If you do get a w6 make sure its the w6v2
