Final setup, gonna order some tomorrow, any last minute advice?

DCON hands down. This should not even be a discussion, if sq is relevant. The audioque is spl oriented and has an RMS of 600. The icrimantor is a very nice sub, but I cannot see it beating the DCON on clarity. Tuning that high should get you all the bass you need. Hell my 12 is tuned at 29.

The Dcon and the SDC are the same price. which is why I'm basically asking. B/c is the Dcon really that much better when they are the same price? I guess I have this thought that the SDC should be the "better" sub I guess not. And I read that the Dcon can struggle up top but everyone here seems to disagree which is good.

I'm actually not getting a kicker amp any more. They have fixed cross over points and no sub sonic filter. Both things I dont like. I'm kinda just between the AQ750 and the MRX-M50 alpine now.

idk why everyone is saying the DCON is gonna dump on the SDC. They're very different subs, whoever said the AQ is more SPL oriented is dead on, it's underrated at 600, i wouldn't put less than 1k to one of them daily. If you put 1k on a DCON daily, it would last about a week, maybe.

But SQ wise the DCON does take the cake, I haven't listened to many systems in cars, but I imagine the back seats make it hard to hear the difference between subs other than loudness.

But you don't seem comfortable butting 1k on your charging system, so DCONs are your best bet

I guess hip-hop ruined me, but I just want my ish to bang, doesn't have to sound clean, it doesn't even have to be the right note, just has to rattle my brain.

your trying to compare a sub that is rated for 300 rms and one that is rated for 600 rms. one has a 2" coil and the other has a 2.5" coil. not only are they different in performance, but in different power classes

have you gotten your wall metered yet? I'm thinking about selling my HDC18 and getting two of the new ones and sticking them on 4k with something below the window line, might win me a few trophies if I do it right.

money allowing and stuff like that.

still a build in progress bro... hoping to join the 160 club.... but time will tell.... should have the build done within the next month.... depending on when all the parts get here (still waiting on 2 18's, amps, other misc ish to arrive)

well if I ran the SDC I'd be giving it 500rms.

what bothers me is that they r the same price.

since one is 300rms and an entry level sub and the other is 600rms and "the middle ground" sub for AQ. idk which to get. I just want something to play well for both rock and rap. but I want it to sound good. not just bang. if I wanted just that I'd get kicker.

Are you tryna compete or are you just trying to hold the title of loudest DD on the streets of DC?

i might compete with it... but i know i would be VERY limited in my class... cuz the build is alot more than just an spl build. more going for a daily ground pounder, with maybe a few comps thrown in
