Ok I am building a fiberglass box for my car and I was curious about using rope that has ben soaked in fiberglass for support. From what I gathered from

You use nylon 3/8" to ½" rope, soak it, lay it down then glass over it.
my questions are:
1) In the link posted they say to use braided nylon rope. Would this be like climbers rope or like the stuff that has real thick strands and is most of the time yellow?
2)what about fiberglass gasket material ex: http://www.rutland.com/gaskets/gaskets.htm would this be better for the application??
Thanks
Jackson
