Started on my project for the Rainbow SAC 465 kicks I just received and have some questions. I have both doors started and have the mold done for the passenger side. Here is a pic of a Silverado door panel to give an idea of what I'm talking about.
This set is 2 mids per side and one will go in the factory spot and the other is going into the fiberglass pods that will fit just below the window controls where the tweeter is mounted behind the factory grille. Teh factory grill is no longer to be used. Obviously the tweeter will be moved elsewhere.
Questions are
1) I'm trying to wrap the mold using a poly/cotton blend and it keeps bunching, big time. I can get most of it tight without bunching but it always ends up bunching at the end. Any tips on how to wrap?
2) I'm planning on glassing the bolts into the back of the pod and drilling holes into the door and attaching nuts. Do I need to put anything between the pod and the door to prevent vibrations?
3) The mid mounted in the factory position will be IB but as of now my pods will be enclosed. Does it matter if one is IB and the other in an actual enclosure or should I cut a hold in the back of the pod?
