Fi Audio, DC, Sundown, or Skar audio for 1500w rms?

1 18 really doesnt have all that much more cone area than 2 12s.
And there are many people with loud 2 12 setups in an suv... My daily box does 149 legal and 151 kick. My comp boxes are louder. Just 2 12s on 3k

And that right there is just fine for me. This is my daily wagon so yeah. The focals I have keep up the bass too so nothing muddy

Honestly, 150 is a little excessive for most people daily.

Low 140s with good linearity is plenty

Basically what I'm aiming for. Loud but sounds good. I have the mids n treble taken care of. And being my daily they will be beat on a lot. My work sometimes has me driving an hour or more to work. And I really like the venting design of the SA 12s. That Xcon sub looks amazing but if I'm doing a setup like that I'd have a van and have 4 of them 18 xcons in there

Its not just cone area. The ssa zcon is stupid low mass and excellent motor strength. It will SMOKE two sa 12s above 40hz..

Those subs look amazing but If I'm going with those i would have a van and save up for 4.

So a single SA 15 or 2 SA 12s is the main choice now. Unless someone else has another sub in those price ranges and sizes

I was really looking at the FI alpha series 12s too, do they underrate their subs like sundown does? Because I'll be running both together at 1500wrms. Which SSA would you pick? For SQL

The ssd is a nice woofer. Its finally refined. Im pretty sure that one 18 will be louder than the pair of sa 12s if you have the space.

The ssd is a nice woofer. Its finally refined. Im pretty sure that one 18 will be louder than the pair of sa 12s if you have the space.

as far as sound quality with SSA I would suggest the icon or maybe the xcon. And if I'm correct. (Based on prior research) icon is the orignal sub that put SSA on the map.. because of sound quality. Responsiveness power handling. Handmade build quality here in the US and the ability to make your teeth chatter. . It's the sub that suked me into car audio. If you ever get the chance to hold one in your hand. You'll see what I'm talking about. It will make your tummy warm

My brother has been beating on a FIQ for over a year on a Hifonics amp and less than Stellar electrical. Has had zero issues. Similar build as the icon. same basket and motor I believe not sure about suspension.

You can't go wrong with either. Again I can't speak for the other subs you mentioned

The spl and high xmax coil change the woofer a good deal. With 1kw stick to the stock coil wirh cooling and if you want a big box add a spider.

Looks like SSA is out of the gcon right now. That's the one I'd pick and then the icon. But you definitely got me looking into those a bit more than before
