After reading about the evils of Bass Boost and high gain settings I knew I was guilty of both. So I revisited my amp settings and set the cross over to 85MHZ, the Bass Boot to 0 (from like 12), and the gain to the 4th dot marker (7 is the highest). I then set my Alpine Sub woofer setting to 15+ but not much bass was coming out of my sub. So I set the LPF to 80MHZ, and it’s booming better than it ever has. I actually turned down my Alpine Sub setting to 10+, now I’m even happier than before. Way more bass that I was getting before with the gains and Bass Boost turned up.
Here’s the question:
Is it OK to leave my H/U LPF set to 80MHZ? Will it mess up anything?
