First off, I know absolutely nothing about car audio.
I had a small system (no subs) in my Ascender, but due to a nice little wreck, that SUV will most likely be no longer, and I will be replacing it with a Tahoe.
I'm not going to take my system from my older car, and instead am going to do a new setup in the SUV.
I'm curious as to what I should look for / what types of subs / component speakers will be best for me?
I'm mainly a rock / metal type of guy (slipknot, as I lay dying, static-x, stone sour, Five Finger Death Punch etc etc). Are there certain types and or sizes of subs I should look for that better fits that style of music?
I like it loud / hard hitting, but I also like to be able to here a "crispness" to my music.
I don't want to spend a whole lot of money, but am just curious as to see what is out there.
Should I got for a single sub...dual subs? I was looking at the Kicker L7 lines.
Last but not least..anyone know of a reputable car audio store / installer in the Memphis area?
Thanks in advance!
