Currently running ab vfl 175.1 and alpine pdx 5.

I pulled out all wiring and gonna rewire with sky-high. My question is should i go with 2/0 gauge for 4k rms or is 1/0 gauge enough? Its only $20 difference to go with 2/0 but if its not needed it will be easier to run 1/0 thoughts?

Also i have a singer 270a hairpin large case alt, 1 kinetik 2400 in the rear and going to put a xs3400d up front is that enough battery and alt to run .5 ohms on my vfl?

Thanks in advance

$20 to ho from 1/0 to 2/0? Where at?

And thats enough electrical for probably 2.5k but i wouldnt do 4k specially on .5 with that id say get 2 d3100s

But 1/0 is enough if you have dual runs

But 1/0 is enough if you have dual runs

on ebay its 1.00 difference per foot for 2/0 vs 1/0 so for 20 dollars more i can get 2/0

is 2 runs of 1/0 bigger or the same size as 2/0? Just thinking if i ever upgrade to another vfl.

2.5k watts??? i highly doubt that. 200 ah worth of batteries plus a 270a singer alt would beable to be around 4k i would think. I have always run my amps at 1 ohm but i heard the vfl really shines at .5 ohms and i wanna make sure if i run it at .5 ohms i can keep voltage at 14 on full tilt.

I have the set point at 15.2 so it should go down to about 14.5 after being warm.

15.2v will swell a AGM.
Its 15.0 sorry. Thats cold start after few mins it should go down to 14.5

Think im gonna do 2 runs of 0 gauge. Does that mean i need 5 fuses total? 2 up front at the battery, 2 at the rear then 1 off the wire going to the amp?
