F150 Supercrew help.

I bought a Kenwood DDX512 with 2-pair of Pioneer Rev series 6x8 speakers for the good or bad. I have spent $700. I would like to add a sub woofer. Is there a subwoofer and box you all could suggest for $300 to keep my total under 1k that would fit the 2008 f150 supercrew?

hey, i have a 03 supercrew and i layed down the large back seat and put my box on top of that. i have a 15" aq hdc3. my box is 3.75 cf also.

If you have tools, its much cheaper to build a box. If you do some reading too, you can build a box that will outperform anything prefab by FAR

Box materials shouldnt be more than $50 between wood, glue, screws, and paint/carpet

That leaves you $250 for a sub and amp, which would be plenty to get you a pair of 8's or 10's with an amp.

You can get two RE RE 8" or 10" subs as a pair on ebay for $100

Shouldnt be a problem finding an amp to power them for $150-$175

I recommended him a Hifonics ZXi 8008 5-channel amp for $200 and a Kicker S8L5 for $95. That kills two birds with one stone; he gets 300 watts for a subwoofer and he gets 55 x 4 for his speakers. Throw in a Wally World amp kit, and I'll make him a box... comes in at just a hair over his original budget. I think it's worth it.
