Three 12's in biggest ported box vs Three 15's in seald Box

Which would be more ground shaking loud?? Im talking about bass loud

3 kicker 12's cvx in biggest aloud ported box by kicker spec's or 3 kicker cvx 15's

in a good size sealed box?

The ported box for the 12's is 2.25cubic and 700w rms per sub X 3subs=2100 w rms

Or

The sealed box for the 15's is 2.40cubic and 900w rms per sub X 3subs=2700w rms

The rms rating is based on the size of the cubic feet in the box per sub.

3 15's sealed is what I would do.

Cool Thanks I figured that scene the 15's had more surface area they would be a better choice

The port makes up for a LOT of the difference in cone area. Depending on the specific subs and the freq range in question the port can have the same effect as more than doubling the cone area.

I just don't know about ported, because even though I like bass alot, I like other music too

So thats why I thought 3 kicker 15's sealed would still hit hard and tight but still have a masive

amount of bass when I need it.

One of the best sounding (with all kinds of music, I don't do "bass") sub systems I've ever owned was ported. It's all in finding the right ported alignment for the sub.
