ext crossover + EQ vs 880?

i listened to a truck the other day that had alot of eminence speakers and tweeters like im going to be running. ill have 10 6.5s and 10 supertweeters. he had 20 6.5s and 20 supertweeters lol. i dont know what crossover he had, but he had some 3 way crossover, and a Clarion EQ. i think it was this one: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3967

he had some indash....i have the 880 which has a 16 band EQ (clarion is only 7) and the 3 way crossover (i dont know what crossover he had)

what you guys think?

also, i have no idea on how to adjust the crossover in the 880. i know how to set the switch to NW on the side, but after that, im still clueless lol. like say i wanna set my tweets to 3.5khz and up, how do i do that?

I no he is not going to change his mind...I just dont get the point of have 10 tweeters and 10 mids when you can do the same with 2 tweeters and 2 mids. I even spoke to installers that call customers dumb shits for wanting to have those installs(not to their face of course). Those installers were also on your be loved east coast

you're talking to someone who runs active 3-way with dynaudio, vifa, and boston parts powered off of ppi art in his daily driver and with cd2-comp id's in his show truck (although, i don't yet have the rest of that 3-way set-up determined).

yeah, in the past i've run the clarion 5.1 stuff. Not going to add processing to the mercedes (went old school with audiocontrol model 20 and eql instead). However, i need 5.1 in the explorer and am planning on going alpine when the time comes- it won't be driven for another 5 months anyways.

First of all, what that guy did was for SHOW. If I were you I'd stick with PRACTICAL. You will get much better sound out of your current setup. Do you have any idea how hard it would be to tune all those drivers?? Anyway, if you go to switch to NW mode on your 880 make sure after you flip the switch you turn your key to acc with the deck off and take a pen and push the reset button. Othewise you're really not switching it over.
