expensive wire or cheap

However, wire is not wire. Go too cheap on the wire, and the actual diameter of the copper is reduced, and the wire uses a thicker insulation jacket so that the outter diameter is relatively the same. It is possible to find cheap "4ga" wire that's actually only as thick, copper wise, as standard 8ga wire.

True, true. My 4 gauge Raptor (bottom line Tsunami?) wire, the wire part, is actually pretty much the same diameter as my other Streetwires 8 gauge wire. Kicker, Stinger and Streetwires are some good wires.

The walmart speaker wire tears my fingers up. If you have to bend the tip, it will stick yo ***. But i got some nice stinger 4ga. at the audio shop and it was sooo soft. I dunno if there is that much of a difference but the soft wire doesnt poke you like the cheaper stuff does.

iv heard my friends setup and he bought all his amp kits at walmart...... sounded fine to me... i think wire is only more expensive at times depending on if its a brand name or not.... i personly have JL wire setup but i cant really say its better then what they sell at walmart... only real differnce i can see is mine bends a lot more then his
