wire is generally wire, the main difference is thread count and covering/shielding. i can almost gurantee you wont notice an audible difference in the .69/ft and 2.00/ft wire

Copper is Copper. The main difference between cheap quality wire and expensive quality wire is the strand count (makes it more flexible) and possibly the quality of the insulation.

However, wire is not wire. Go too cheap on the wire, and the actual diameter of the copper is reduced, and the wire uses a thicker insulation jacket so that the outter diameter is relatively the same. It is possible to find cheap "4ga" wire that's actually only as thick, copper wise, as standard 8ga wire.

So yes. Copper is copper. But wire is not wire.
