no it's not. plus as a second battery you'd want a dry cell. bigger reserve capacity and you can drain them dead and recharge them a lot more time then a wet cellso putting an everstart in the spare tire compartment isn't a good idea?
i dont plan to play it with the car offA Red Top is NOT a deep cycle battery, though it would be ok to use, if you were to do a lot of playing with the car off, and the battery died...it would be gone. Plus the reserve capacity of the reds itsnt all that great. Its a starting battery.

if it is a wet cell it has to vent otherwise they wouldnt be allowed to put the battery theremy battery in my '05 chrysler 300 is in the trunk/spare tire well stock location.i dunno if its just a normal battery, but it doesnt seem to get much vent.
