how much should a local car audio shop charge for this?

Quoted for emphasis. Only one of the car audio shops I've been to locally out of five or six actually knew what it was. And of course they did the best (and most expensive) work.

don't know if any of the local shops here know what the big 3 is..and 100+to run just the power wire would be rediculous...they only charge $70 around here, but of course I do everything myself

well. wire will cost you like 50~100 depending on what they have in stock. then think about ring terminals and all that jazz. like $1~5 each.

then you are looking at like $25\hour. maybe take like 1~2 hours. so you are looking about $100~200 for $25 in wire\accessories\shipping you could buy online and 1~2 hours of your time.
