thanks.. hey what do you think about surround sound? ALpine has that sound processor that I want to install and it has the 5.1 DTS decoders, any suggestions?? also, what type of wiring is good as well as sound deadner?? I figured definitely a new battery, will an alternator be needed and what about a capacitor???

If you go with the Eclipse AVN2454, you get 8 volt balanced line outputs, a nine band equilizer for about the same price, and the MRSP is just $100 more. The 8 volt balanced digital outputs filter out any noice frequencies by eliminating any signal that passes through both the left and right channels and is absolutely crystal, and Eclipse is one of only two companies to do it along with Rockford Fosgate. You can also get the optional Commander which enables you to operate the windows, door locks, and cell phone with just voice recognition for about $600. As far as an alternator, try to go with 250 amps if posible, if not, 200 should do you, and you'll probably want to get a red or yellow cap battery if you do go with the 200. It should be rather easy to find a 250 amp alternator for an Escalade though. The system will consume anywhere between 170-195 watts with just the speakers (I'm sure you knew that being that you're spending all that money though).

I hate people like u cuz u have so much money to spend on a system! Nah im j/p but seriously that system will be kick *** and yes u will definately need a new battery and alt

Alls i got to say is your a pimp for buying a escalade to begin with, the true luxory ride.Mercury tries to puttem out like Cadiliac but they aint up to par.
Yeah. BUT THEY ALL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE IN MANUAL!!! And the Lincoln Navigator is a step above the Mercury. Of course, it doesn't matter, because NEW FORDS ****!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/offtopic.gif.470a8b0541c72322a0037f48a8237473.gif

For that money, you should be looking at Dynaudio speakers as well as Macrom and a few other really high-end brands. Money is not much of a concern, obviously. I would try to match the center channel as closely as possible to the front left and right speakers.

The 8V balanced outputs might sound good on paper, but really aren't needed. Not all amps will accept the balanced signal, and 8V will overdrive most input stages, even with the gain at min. BTW, balanced inputs compare the pos and neg sides of the RCA input and not the left and right. Anything that is the same on the pos and neg of the same input must be noise and it is eliminated. Balanced signals are generally not needed in the car. It takes AC to induce noise in AC and there is not a high current AC source in you car that would pose a noise problem. Most noise problems in car audio are caused by bad grounds on one or more components, not noise induced into the signal transmission cables.

Depending on the volume at which you listen to the system, it is not likely that you will need more than a 150A alt. If you really crank it, you might want a bit more. The battery is not a major concern as long as the alt is up to snuff.

thanks for the added feedback... i figured i would definitely have to change the battery, wasn't sure about the alt though. i have to check how many amps the factory default has. hey take a look at this link: http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=007801

how would this principle apply in my case?? would i still have to swap the alternator?? as far as the subs, any other suggestions?? IDMAX, RE XXX's???
