EQ And Speker Crossover question.... advice please

I have the JL xr 3 way comp set. If I were to get an EQ, should I get one that can eq the subs as well as the comp set? If so, how many bands would work best? I am going to have the system RTA'd.

Get as many bands as you can get your hands on... a 30 band would give you a lot of adjustment room.

Thanks, what about sub control? I don't need xovers, as I have good amps with good xovers.

Where abouts in oregon do you live and what shop do you go to?
