PS is well known on here he wont leave you hanging on that box...why sealed on the box?

So, the sub wont drop into the hole?...I cut both holes exactly to Fi specs...have you tried dropping the sub itself in (no gasket)?...and im pretty sure I went a 16th of an inch over on the countersink hole so the carpet wouldnt interfere too much with mounting

Man, im sorry...if it doesnt fit I can wire you some money to send it back and I can get started on another enclosure right away and have it out to you (i'll pay shipping and everything)...

How close is it to fitting?...maybe a pic of the sub sat on it...and maybe an upside-down shot with the cone facing into the hole as well..

I'll get back to you as soon as I get home this evening/tonight

Man, I was a bit quick to reply...it is under 12.5" total diameter...I honestly dont know how I did that...I will get back to you tonight to get it shipped back on me (or if you'd like to keep it for some reason youre welcome to)...

Ok letsdo it this way. To make it easier for you and 100% accurate I can send you the rubber ring. What do you think. This way all you have to do just drop it in and make sure it fits?

The rubber ring wont be necessary (Plus, I have two buddies close by both with 12" Fi's..I know what went wrong with the circle cutting) but I wouldnt be suprised if your enclosure is done tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...I will be staying at the garage all night hopefully working on it to get it done and I hope to ship it out tomorrow.

I do not need it till next coming weekend.(17-18) Take it easy. I really appreciate your effort but just don't kill yourself over this.

if you'll have no use of a box, I'm going to keep it.

Also what size of a hole are you going to cut? IMO should be at least 12.75 or so.

Please leave it for a weekend. There is no rush.

first.....see if a 10" will fit in it

second.......cut new hole in another side of box...use carpeted circle to glue into place over old smaller hole

third......fill with sand and use as a nice garage ash tray while you wait for new box to come in the mail

Heck, it looks like even a light tap with a rubber mallet would pop it in there

Well, the enclosure is pretty much done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...I can have it carpeted and shipped out tomorrow.

And the countersink cutout for this one will be 12.5625" (Fi says it's 12.5"..and my buddy with a pair of BL 12's cut his hole to 12.5" and it dropped right in...it should be perfect)...the panel's only 12.75" tall so I didnt want to go much further or the mdf would just fall apart at that thickness.
