Enclosure build for local shop

Thanks guys i hope i get the job. and yeah this isnt my design remember. he wanted it built exactly as he had it drawn. i would have done it differently but whatever. once i actually start working there i will be able to do the design all myself. if it was me i would have done flared port, double baffle, 45 pieces in the corners, and a better window brace.

Looks pretty good with one exception

Looks good. But the "window" brace should have looked like a window with a "+" in the middle. The way you did it with a big opening cut out adds very little strength...
That's what I was thinking. THe way it is now is kind of pointless //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Remember guys, this isn't his design.......he has only said it a few times.

Still looks awesome and like the one guy said, hopefully it don't take away your love of audio. I know a box builder who is too busy for anyone right now because of his current job, the one I talked to you about and he hated his job, because he had to build the boxes to the shops specs and nothing custom from him, unless he did it on the side. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So with that said, if this shop gives your freedom to build to your liking, then I see no reason why you wouldn't have a good time doing what you love.

Also does this mean, no more side projects? I know shops catch wind of that, it won't look good for you. Just looking out and giving you insight. Good luck man and I really hope you get it.

ok here are the finished pics. no pics with the bedliner though:crap: he was very impressed with it and i have the job now:veryhapp:

man that looks real nice. Did he just draw up these plans and tell u to make it real? Looks real nice though man. Heck aside from a larger sq. in. port, that almost looks (visually, not making fun of you) like a prefab box its so clean. I'm not saying that it looks like a cookie cutter box, but it looks nice and clean like some of the premade ones turn out.

Good work, and good luck w/ the job

Thanks guys. I'm pretty excited that by first job ever is workin for an audio shop doing their boxes for them. I'm not sure how much they charged for it I didn't ask. I don't think he would tell me anyway. I wish I had some pics with the Bedliner cause it looks alot better than the spraypaint.
