Electrical to run this amp?

Also, should I go with an amp kit from Knu or would I be better suited with a Kicker amp wiring kit or something? I believe the ZX2500 accepts 4 gauge wire.

It accepts 1/0.

I'd go ahead and purchase the Kicker 1/0 amp kit, and go from there... maybe order some odds and ends from Knu...

Much more cost effective...

Ah so it does take 1/0? Everywhere I read it says "Accept 12, 8, and 4 gauge leads". But considering you said before you had used this amp, I believe you :p

Thanks for the help, one more thing to clarify everything :

Should I purchase 2 of the Kicker amplifier kits? I'll probably need more wire than normal considering I'll also be doing the big 3 with this 1/0 and such, so should I get 2-3 of the amplifier kits or just use the kicker for the amp and do my big 3 in Knu wire? I'm a tad bit confused here, maybe I misunderstood something.

Thanks for all the help ngsm, It's much appreciated, this is my first system and I kind of want to get everything right the first time so I don't blow my money on repairs and whatnot.

EDIT : Wow, kicker amp kits are cheap! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I was expecting this to set me back quite a bit, but they can be had on ebay for less than $100 shipped!

No...
ONLY get the 1/0 Kicker amp kit, then other odds and ends from Knu... like a little more 1/0 and RCA's...

Yes I'm sorry I had gotten myself confused, I edited the above post while you were typing it seems. Sorry for the mixup.

Werd.
I'm too quick...

Haha must be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif Thank you for the help nG //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, honestly... doing 2 of the amp kits would cover you... and probably be less expensive and get more...
Then you'd just need RCA's and stuff....

nG
Alright cool, so I'll grab the RCA's off of Knu? Are they're RCA's good? I've never really seen people here running anything but their power cable...

Yes, I recommend the Krystal series...

Okay then! Seems you've answered all my questions for tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Thanks again.

Yup, been loving my Krystal interconnects for over 4 years now...

IMO i think an RCA is an RCA, but thats just me, i've never noticed any difference in audio, but i listen to country, will little to no bass or rap, with bass up to my eyes jiggling..so idk lol.

Well JaY, I'm not to sure whether cable quality really plays a role in car audio RCA's, but I do know for video, if it's an analog connection, cable quality actually does play a difference (with component and composite cables for example) but on a digital signal (HDMI for example) cable quality really isn't a factor until a certain length, which for HDMI is about 12-15 feet. Once you get to 12-15 feet cables you need to start dishing out the extra $ for a high quality cables, for some reason the data doesn't travel well after a certain distance. It's much more complicated then that, but I can't really explain it cause quite frankly I don't really get it. lol.

I might as well though, it's not like the RCA's from Knu are expensive at all anyways, they are actually amazingly cheap(at least in my opinion). It seems I thought this would cost a lot more than it really is going to. Which is ALWAYS a good thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
