im pretty set on getting this one, but i dont know yet. with my grandmothers discount at sears, it will be 1100.00 out the door with tax and everything (plus whatever the warrenty plan is) but its the Vizio GV42LFHDTV10A.

this is what i want for sure:

-lcd, no plasma

-42"

-1080p

good reviews (lol)

no more than the Vizio (at the most, a 1300 $ maximum)

anyone own vizio?

how about this one from best buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8386285&type=product&id=1181831586462

I currently own the 47" version of that westinghouse. I absolutely love that tv. My friend bought a vizio after i bought my westinghouse, and he has like 5 dead pixels already. Both tv's are less than 5 months old. My 47" was 1299 at best buy, i think online it says they are like 1599 or 1699.

Vizio every day all day over the Westinghouse for me.

Have bought the 37 inch and one of my best friends has a 42 inch. Sweet picture quality and a very nice value for the $$$.

The place where I get my car audio is also a TV/VCR repair shop. A whole lot of Westinghouse flat panels in there for repair, but only one Vizio I've seen there. The Vizio was there due to being damaged in shipping (they also process military claims) from overseas.

O ya and you can ***** about the price all day with them and they'll lower the price for you. Expecially around now. IF the salesman says no, ask to speak with a manager and they'll do it for you. Some is better then none. Trust me i see this happen all the time there. I work there

see im looking for one to use as a computer monitor and bedroom tv at the same time, we dont game or anything on it just web browse. i'll have to look at that now 37" for 499 seems nice.

i do play xbox360 also though so id like it to look pretty good playing that.
