I have a question...I have a 2002 chevy cavalier and i was wondering if powering 2 12' Alpine Type X's w/ a brutus 1606 amp w/ an extra battery b to much for the electric system

stock alt on cavaliers is only 105A, and that amp draws over 100A at full power.. and i realize that he wont be playin at full power all the time, but sometimes he will, then what??

i honestly doubt your even going to need an extra batt. but if ya wanna be safe and dont wanna spend much jus get a cheap deep cell at walmart and install it in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you have more of a budget. a Optima yellowtop group 31 would be a good buy

yup your right. but you have 2 batteries with "amps" that can be given out to the electrical system. jus make sure you do the big 3 also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes, it is. However having two batteries is like filling two buckets of water (instead of 1) and drawing a little from both. You will have more amperage at your disposal to run your car AND your system should you want to crank it and up the amperage draw.

You don't really need a diagram. 1/0 cable + to + and - to - Fuse the positive wire within 1 foot of each battery.
