Alright this is what i plan on doing get a dual alternator kit which comes with a 200 amp alt, I already have stock 130 amp alternator in my tahoe, then i run the 200 amp alt to a hc2000 battery underthe hood in left corner wheres there is room for extra battery, and i get a 800 batcap right next to my hifonics xx colouss 1100x2 @ 2ohm and hifonics 6006 150x2 @ 4 ohm to run kicker ks65 speakers in all doors and 2 15' l7s. So basically im asking if getting a 200 amp alt and hc2000 battery ((Ah: 102 Amps: 2250 Dimensions: 12" x 6.5" x 8.2"))with a 800 amp bat cap to ONLY power my stereo system (2500 watts) would be enough power? Anyone know if it would be alright to put amps on top of my box inside so u can only see top i heard they might get too hot. thanks

more airflow going to the amp the better.....as for the electrical, seems like your on the right track, just don't forget to upgrade the grounds even more from the engine block to the frame.....need more than one.

Yea since its going to be seperate im using 1/0 wire for big 3 on the electric system only to power my system. Anyone else, is a 200 amp alt enought its like 100 at idle.

but i just can't stress enough on the extra grounds from the engine to the chassis, that and a direct ground from the alternator bracket to the battery's negative terminal....
