Finnaly got my alarm put in today. I put my radio in and hooked my highs, mids etc. to a small pioneer amp I had. It worked at first, then the volume got real low and I heared a ticking noise coming out of the speakers. Then i smelled that burning electrical smell, and my amps fuse blew. I went to put another one in and it blew immediatly. Im pretty sure its all hooked up right. Do you guys have any ideas? I dont wanna go and fry another amp.

Was the amp powered on when you put the new fuse in? If so... You are a moron //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But there could be MANY different things wrong...

How did you go about setting your gain on the amp, just crank it or did you do it properly?

Was the smell comming from the amp, or the speakers?

Do you have the speakers wired to an impedance that the amp is stable at?
