Electrical / Noise problem Experts Chime in; Seroius help needed.

Yeah but the usamps used the regular rca's right? Anm you never had that issue until you switched out the zap 4 channel that used symbilink to the jl 4 channel that doesnt, correct? The way I see it, whether or not the 9.0 is bad in some way, yoiu are having a major issue with the mixing of signal cables.
I agree. Its gotta be something like that. I have all signal cables running down the left side, but while I was troubleshooting, I ran them across the seats as far away from each other as possible, made no difference what so ever.

its deff. your HU. ive had my pioneer 880 since they came out, never had a single problem with them until about a month ago, same as you, even with the engine off, i got HORRIBLE nasty loud noise and crackling soudns, etc.

i just had to ground the RCA's on the HU. look on the back of the HU, theres a threaded hole, for a screw. its metric, its either 8 9 or 10mm i think. go get a bolt that fits in it, and use that as your grounding spot. you wont have the noise anymore. only need to ground one set of RCAs too, not all 3 sets.

any questions, PM me

How can it still be the HU when a brand new one did the exact same thing?

I will try re-re-re-re doing the rca grounds though, Ill try that spot to thanks.

sorry, i didnt read the thread except your first post, and i didnt even read that completely so i missed that part //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

maybe its something in your wiring thats causing the rca's to start making that noise when u turn it on in ur car. have u tried your 880 in another car?

Pioneers are know for there poor grounding and noise.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

If I were you after trying this if what was said to do about doesn't work I would try another name brand like Alpine:D.

Update: Turning down gain does not affect the noise, same loudness.
That means its not the h/u. It's coming from the amp/amps. Is there any way to run the 9.0 on straight rca's? I think the symbilink is causing some kind of feedback/ground loop. You are mixing balanced and unbalanced inputs, thats got to have something to do with it
