Power in times efficiency equals power out. Unless you know the efficiency of the amp you are just guessing. Also you have to consider that regardless of what the amp is capable of putting out at max volume with a 0dB sine wave, you will not get anything near that output with music and in the same way, an amp wont draw anywhere near its fuse rating in amps.

or just get clamp ampmeter and see how much current your amps pull in an avarage.

before i borrowed the ampmeter i went trough a coulple fuses till i got it to 80a wich hasnt blown yet. thats 80a on just music.

So I should be fine with 1000 watts right?

If I had this stuff I would measure it, but I dont want to buy more than my car can run, and I dont want to upgrade electrical any time soon.

If you have any problems just turn the volume down a wee.
