I am dropping to 12.2 while driving with the electrical in my sig. Are my alternator or batteries the problem? I had my alt and batteries tested at a local parts store and they tested fine. Is my alt not big enough?

Might wanna try a voltage module from Missing Link Audio or XS Power.

i moved my power and ground runs an cut about 3ft off of each run. it definetly made a difference. drop to 12.5 from 14.0. if i get a mla or a voltminder will i still drop 1.5 volts from where it is set at or will i still drop to 12.5?

how are your wire connections made? Did you crimp them or half *** bash them with a hammer? maybe you have some loose connections that are causing the voltage drop.

this is what happened with me :\ it didn't work out, so i end up soldering it to the terminals. it helps a lot.

I've crimped all my 0/1 gauge wire with my bench vise...not perfect but never had an issue with voltage drops.

May want to have the alt. checked at a real auto electric shop if possible.

my buddy is running mid 150's with 2 12" hcca and 2 of the gp3000pro's in your sig as a daily driver in a midsize gm sedan with a 220 amp alt and 2 group 31 standard batts and he has no issue so its prolly a wire loose somewhere. but he is also running 2 runs of 1/0 wire.

Checked all my connections and nothings loose. I did use a hammer btw but all my ring terminals are on the wires secure. Going to have my alt checked tomorrow.

Front battery resting at 12.84. Rear batteries resting at 12.93.

All drops measured at my bass amp not alt or batteries. This is the voltage at the amps terminals.

This is wierd. It seems like the more I drive the less my voltage drops. Idk seems to be working itself out.
