Ebayers/Im i wrong

If the listing stated "Contact Seller For Shipping Charges" and you chose to wait until only hours before the listing was over (going by your words) to do so then going by what eBay will say you're stuck with the contractual obligation to buy the item.

You can get stuck with the negative feedback that will inevitably come or you can **** it up and pay what the man is asking.

You yourself said it is still a good deal @ $400/shipped so realistically why are you complaining?

These are questions that should have been asked at least a couple of days before the listing ended...not hours.

Give the man time to reply! Not everyone sits at their PC for hours on end like so many of us here do.

If it says in his auction to contact seller for shipping charges thats exactly what hes doing. It does not say contact for packaing and shipping charges so if he files a report just send ebay the email he sent you about the so called packing fee which is not stated in the terms of the auction.

I'd bet money that should a report on this actually get made that eBay will side with the seller and tell the OP to pony up $400 or get stuck with both a negative feedback and a ding against his account for Non Paying Bidder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

no, they keep some of the shipping charges to even it out. i've bought items like that and the items are still good quality. not sure about electronics because i don't buy cheap electronics.
people list their items cheaper then charge more for shipping because alot of people do this for a living and actually pay taxes on the sale but not on the shipping charge. But yeah, dude is trying to rip you.

If the auction said to contact seller for shipping charges then he has been straight up with you. You should have done your research before confirming a bid.

he said its a good deal at 400 dollars and when i say hours i mean about 9-12 hours. i understand that all people dont live on their pc, but its funny in about 10 minutes after it was over im taking to him. look, the money thing for paying for this thing is nothing; i just feel like someone is tryingg to play me.

In a way he is trying to play you...and he succeeded. You need to learn how to spot these things on eBay before bidding.

Yeah most of you guys have it all mixed up.

First off, If it says to contact them for shipping, you wait it out. DO NOT buy the item if they do not get back to you. If you buy it expect to pay whatever shipping charges there may be with-in reason.

When buying you must take everything into consideration. You do not just buy something and expect it to come to your needs. The seller has the right to charge that amount for shipping. It isn't really inflated like most of you say, I myself will charge higher shipping, Why? Theres listing fees, paypal fees (most of the time), ending fees, packing materials, and of course the trip to the post office.

Technically you have committed to buy. If you do not go through with it you should expect negative feedback and he has every right to do so.
yeah i understand everything u guys are saying; lesson learn. but im still gonna wait and see wat happen.

i would have to agree with the people saying its your bad... I sell lots of stuff on ebay and buy even more. I never buy without knowing exactly how much shipping will be. Also shipping amps isnt always cheap. I always ship ups on breakables. I have them pack and ship and insure the items. I dont know the size weight or distance of shipping but i do know i have spent upwards of $80 after everythings said and done shipping some amps that i have sold. Most are between $30-50 but sometimes the price can get hefty. I have had plenty of people refuse to pay due to high shipping costs on items. I always list a shipping price though. Its part of the game. Pay the shipping and be happy with your item.
