CD Player Problem

Hi,

I'm new to these forums and not sure where to post this but I could use some help.

I burned a CD that got corrupted halfway through the burning so that only half of the tracks were put on the CD. I played it in a flip top loader player and the first 6 or 7 tracks worked fine but the rest of the CD was unplayable. I didn't really have time to redo the CD so I decided to just take what I had and leave. I loaded the CD into my car CD player and headed off.

Here's my problem....when the CD got to the bad tracks my player displayed Error and stopped playing. I popped in another CD but still got the same error! Now none of my CD's will work in my car. I've tried running a cleaning disk but nothing works.

How do I fix this? Thanks

i think that corrupted cd messed up your entire cd player..is it a stock head unit? if so, you should get an aftermarket one, it'll be a good investment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

try resetting the hu (if it's stock or you don't know how to proceed, disconnect one of the battery terminals, but have in hand the key code to reactivate the radio, in case it's stock)...

Thats about all I could come up with too. So there's no way to do a reset without actually pulling a cable off the battery for a while?

It's stock but not sure if the 2004 model has the anti-theft lockout that my 1999 Grand Am had...so I better call the pontiac dealer beforehand or I might not have no tunes at all.
