Dynamat vs Fatmatt on a budget

convince people to waste money thats fine... i know i wont waste my hard earned money on the expensive crap when it all does the same thing. I have used at least 5 different brands and it just all seems to work the same....
I understand, nothing but talk. Free country. You gonna do the repairs after people follow your advice?

While were on the topic, will using a sound deadner on the roof of a suv help with db scores?

I have woofers firing upward, and its an 85' bronco with a fiberglass top. its flexing a lot and I'm adding my 3rd RE SX 15" whenever it arrives and I'm scared the top will crack because its flexing soo much

It's very vehicle specific, but flexing has to hurt since it diverts energy. Not sure sound deadener will stiffen it enough for you. Might be best to look at some sort of fabrication with aluminum tubes or something, maybe in conjunction with sound deadener. Another idea might be to attach sheet metal with construction adhesive, then vibration damper over that.

I' m definitely NOT going to do the repairs if you follow that advice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Are you gonna give them their money back after wasting it on crap thats two - five times more expensive and does the same thing.... i have yet to see a repair that needed to be done because of using any sound deadener. I really find it ahrd to believe that you have studied all these deadeners. I do believe that you talk out of your *** though.... I am not one to skimp out on parts for anything i usually buy high end items all the times cause i like to do things right the first time. Fact is that fatmat has done just as good of a job for me as any of the others. Not a single one has stood out as wow thats just awesome. I have used Fatmat, Brownbread

I have used Fatmat, Brownbread Lets see, Rudy has his scientific test, on virtually all current mats, done in pictures, is verifiable and has (literally) impacted the entire sound deadener industry... you have 'well they all seem to do the same to me'... forgive me if I follows Rudy's advice and not yours. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Not to mention, my own experience has shown otherwise. We cant help it if you have wax in your ears.

I honestly cant believe you were dumb enough to post this crap in this thread, as if your personal opinion trumps verifiable testing, and have the balls to act like you are the only one here with a clue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

this same thread is made 10+ times a month... nothin really new... just people tossin out bs and mostly talking about shit they have never used... As someone who has used most of the big names out there i know what im talking about and just offer advice based on experience... not tossin a couple pieces on a piece of wood and watching it sit there for months... i rather toss a few rolls in a car and see how it works... and phantom doesnt ever add shit to a thread anyways... he's just a nut hugger I have been messin around with stereo's since before he was born.

ok, that isnt exactly scientific.... thats like saying myth busters is the be all end all word on everything. I in no way claim to know everything but i do know not a single one of the high price deadeners is worth the extra markup. Now if some of them were cheaper then maybe i would say hey for the extra price go for it.... I personally refuse to waste my money on some guys BS site that says USE THIS ITS BETTER... i never said you have to take my advice i just offer it.... if you want to waste money go ahead.... I personally dont feel its worth it and i know quite a few people who agree with me... God forbid anyone have a different point of view or opinion on a product... I have spent thousands over the years on these types of product and i feel i have the right to say what i have found in my experience.... that is what a message board is for and what people are asking for when thy ask for information...

oRLY?

This is nice info. Oh, your opinions are just the best thing ever to hit the internet. I'm a nut hugger? I thought thats what we called whitey tighties. Don't get yours in a bunch, man. The fact of the matter is, butyl is superior to asphalt in all things but stong smells and in price. For the price of a good butyl mat, you could get about 1.6x the amount of asphalt, but the asphalt wouldn't be as effective. I could care less what you've used, how long you've been doing this, the hard truth is that you're an idiot.

a name calling 19 year old who is upset cause he was called on his experience..... not on here no way... once you go spend your money on the stuff come back and tell us all what you think kid... Untill then why offer advice based on what someone can read.... i dont think the op was asking what you have read on the net i think they probably wanted some info from people who have had real life experience with the stuff...

Look, one thing you are also failing to realize is the acoustic difference between them all. A car covered in two difference deadeners will sound different based on the marterial and quality they used. Not even the fact that it might come off, for you that was not something that happend but would your car have sounded different between a car done completely in second skin and the other in Fat Mat? Think about that........... maybe you just don't have the ear for it but it doesn't mean other's cant tell the difference.

I didn't read any of the thread but the title. i bough 100sqft of fatmatt and i uninstalled 100 sqft of fatmat it was an absolute waste of money. it doesn't stick worth a **** and it smells like shit don't waste your money on it
