Dynamat vs Fatmatt on a budget

I'm trying to get hold of rick at raammat to see how long the wait is for a roll. He must be pretty busy. How long have ppl been waiting for the shipment that just came in? Seems that the trailer that came in today is all done with orders and will have to wait for the next shipment.
By reading this thread i guess asking this question isn't going to get an answer since most everyone is bashing on each other. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I think Rudy already stated an expected turn-around time, if not, my mistake. But like said above, we really cant know order status, product availability, or shipment status. Calling them directly is a much better option. Good luck.

I don't see the number anywhere on their site to call. When i click contact it brings me to a comment/email page.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I'm getting some second skin damplifier and overkill that I'm going to put all over my car except the roof. I'll let you know the results.
for 270 bucks (82sq ft. of Damp, speaker kit, 86 sq ft. of overkill) this better work really good!

Kinda wondering why B-Quiet Ultimate is never really brought up. I used that recently and It seemed to preform real well. I applied it in cooler temps. and it stuck really good, and then recently, when the weather heated up, it didn't rise or anything. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to someone. Also, I received my order in about a week (2 months ago).

There's nothing wrong with it, very similar to RAAMmat. What I don't like is that they still sell B-Quiet Extreme, which is asphalt. Until recently they imported Brown Bread, also asphalt and way over priced since it is made in the UK, and sold it under a different company name. On the Brown Bread site they said it was the best deadener available, on the B-Quiet site they said it wasn't very good and had been replaced by BQ Ultimate. Very strange.

B-Quiet can be a reasonable choice for Canadians, but I really don't encourage people to do business with companies that sell asphalt, even if they also sell butyl.

any other great quality deadners like raamatt and dynamt for a decent price you know about rudy

how many layers you suggest i put in the trunk to lessen trunk rattle and other tips

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif my car is tiny and i already calculated it out. Thats enough for everything except the roof.

I drive a small coupe that fits 2 people in the front seat and 3 in the psuedo backseat.

If i need a little more I'll just buy some eDead v1SE. I'm not gonna spend another 100 bucks on a patch i missed with second skin...it just aint worth it.

But i should be fine because I calculated how much i needed, and i came up short of 82 sq ft.

Nice job doing your homework ahead of time man. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Most people around here just run to the board and want the info placed in their lap for them. Its amazing how such an easy task escapes most people's ability. lol

Good luck with your project.

That's for sure.

Measuring square feet is a good way to estimate your needs, but laying an even layer everywhere isn't necessarily the most effective use of materials. You may be better of doing multiple layers in some places and not bothering with others. Before you start deadening a panel, tap on it in various places with your knuckles, the handle of a screwdriver or something like that. Listen to how the sheet metal sounds. You want to pay the most attention t o the areas where it "rings" the most. You almost never need anything near welds or bends.

Good luck.
