Drifting RC's ?

You can get the Revolutions still. dixieart.com, etc etchttp://www.dixieart.com/Iwata_Revolution_Airbrushes.html

Is the Paasche a VL? I already have one of those.

Dude, Lemons; ditch the propellant; You can get a decent compressor from Harbor Freight for around $90, will keep you sprayin all day long //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You can find me @ airbrush.com forums or westcoastairbrush.com
Can I see some of your work? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Hmm that's interesting. A few months back I couldn't find SHIT on the revolution. And yes, it's a VL.

I know, I know. I should've bought a compressor by now, but I don't paint nearly anything anymore. I'll call my friend up and have him bring over his go-kart helmet. I don't paint RC car bodies anymore, but I do racing helmets now.

Know where I can get some 1/4" masking tape for real cheap? It's like 10 dollars at my LHS.

Do you want the blue fineline tape? Like for laying flames?
There's an autobody store very near my house, I could snag you some ifya really can't find it for the right price.
Yeah kinda, but this paint job is just a tricolor paint job with blue and green rectangles with white striping seperating (

Ok I have done budget r/c drifiting and you can do it! Gotta find someone with a big *** house and hardwood floors. I used some car from radiochack smaller one(supra) that was upgraded with bigger motor and was about 100$ for everything. Put down a thin layer of water or you could expirement with other substances. Yes it is very tricky to do and prolly not as cool as doing it on paved serfaces but still just as fun.

why not use liquid mask instead of tape? cheaper and easier to work with i think

I hate liquid masks for anything that isn't an RC body...which I don't paint anymore. You cannot get the clean lines that I like with the Pactra liquid as you can with good blue detailing tape. And trey, if you're talking about Xmods, I had the ultimate one. HPI micro elite motor, six rayovac nimh cells, 4wd conversion, full bearing conversion and I even jury rigged a futaba receiver into it. Unfortunately, the 6 cells eventually fried it, but you couldn't even keep the wheels from spinning on asphalt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Liquid mask surely has it's uses, but I'm not so sure straight lines are one of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I remember seeing that RC body before, it looks great, the CF effect came out much nicer than my attempts.

Rubber Shelf mat ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And they are right easier to get straight lines with tape than liquid mask. I use the Bob dively a lot myself. But tape is easier to get straight lines with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea bob dively is the only good liquid mask, as long as you put it on thick enough or else its a ***** to get off of the body
Yeah , tried the parma chit once, and only once . Took fooking forever to dry, and was a pain to get off the lexan after cutting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
